The upstream oil & gas industry acquires vast amounts of data across the entire E&P lifecycle, most of which doesn’t get fully utilized to its full potential.  Today, with innovations in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, smarter models can be developed to help enhance exploration success, increase productivity and reduce uncertainties.

We invite you to join the Halliburton AI/ML Innovation Challenge 2022 to imagine and build the next generation of AI/ML solutions for the oil & gas industry. The winners will win prize money and get a chance to present their solution at the 2022 Landmark Forum Bali.

Prizes

The prize money will be awarded to the top 3 teams and will be shared via wire transfer.

1st Prize – $2,000 USD

2nd Prize – $1,500 USD 

3rd Prize – $1,000 USD

How to Participate

Step 1: Form your team (2-4 participants) and conceptualize your idea. (Please refer to the Rules section to learn more about the eligibility rules for this challenge.) 

Step 2: Register your team on the Landmark website and submit your abstract before
June 10, 2022.

Step 3: After registering on this page, participants will need to attend the introductory webinar to get an overview of the Halliburton AI/ML Innovation Challenge. The webinar link will be shared by a Halliburton representative based in your country.

Step 4: The abstract will be reviewed by Halliburton and the shortlisted teams will be notified by email and given guidance about registering with the OpenEarth^® Community (OEC) and solution development. Halliburton will assign a mentor for each of the short-listed teams.

Step 5: The last date for submitting the solution design is July 31, 2022. The shortlisted teams will be notified via email and will have the opportunity to present their solution to the Halliburton committee.

Step 6: The finalists will be notified by email.  Halliburton will sponsor one participant from each team to attend the Landmark Forum Bali on August 25, 2022, and present their solution to industry representatives. The Landmark Digital Forum is our preeminent E&P business and technology event of the year, and you will have the chance to meet industry leaders, senior E&P management, and Halliburton Landmark executives.
